Rascal Flatts new Greatest Hits album has 20 songs on it It's available now, and not only is it some of their number one hits But also some of the fan favorites, they just couldn't leave off this project And one of the things I asked Jay DeMarcus is As they celebrate 20 years as a band, what has Rascal Flatts meant to him And what has it meant to him to be a part of this band for the last 20 years?I said to somebody the other day It's the thing that I've done and has meant the most to me in most of my adult life Aside from my marriage and the birth of my children It's the most important thing that I've been a part of the entire time Practically, than I've been an adult And the impact it's had on my familyWe've been very, very blessed because of what we've been able to do The fact that I've been able to do something that I love so much Wake up every day to do for a living Has been one of the greatest things you could ever hope for I also realize how fortunate we are because it doesn't happen to everybodyEverybody that has the dream of making it in music Doesn't necessarily get to live it out to the degree that we have had And I'm just grateful for it every day I try to always take a few moments, and thank God for the platform, the career that he has given us And that I've been able to do it with people that mean so much to meGary and Joe Don, we could be sitting here 20 years later hating each other And although we've had our times where we've fallen out And we've disagreed and things of that nature It's remained a family, and we've remained a tight-knit unit And a lot of bands can't say that at the end of 20 years But I've been really grateful, as I look at it That it's been as great as it has been the last 20 yearsI remember one time talking to Rascal Flatts And they had a therapist that was traveling with them on the road Kinda like a marriage counselor, because, I mean, think about it When you're together for 20 years, that is longer than most marriages And they spend a lot of time together But they managed to stick togetherAnd now we're celebrating 20 years of Rascal Flatts, The Greatest Hits And here's another song off the album It's Stand
