Biografía de Quincy Jones
Quincy Delight Jones Jr., nacido el 14 de marzo de 1933 en Chicago, Illinois, Estados Unidos, es un productor discográfico, compositor y director de orquesta de gran influencia en la música hispanohablante.
En su infancia, Jones comenzó a tocar trombón en la banda de la escuela secundaria Hyde Park High School. Más tarde, estudió en el Berklee College of Music y se graduó de la University of Louisville. Sus primeros pasos en la industria musical los dio como músico de sesión en Los Ángeles, tocando con artistas como Les McCann, Dinah Washington y Sarah Vaughan.
En el campo del pop, Jones es conocido por su trabajo con Michael Jackson, para quien produjo los álbumes Thriller y Off the Wall, ambos de gran éxito comercial e histórico. En el jazz, ha trabajado con artistas como Frank Sinatra, Count Basie y Ella Fitzgerald. Además, ha producido álbumes de música latina para artistas como Toots Thielemans, Paquito D'Rivera y Poncho Sanchez.
En cuanto a su estilo y evolución, Jones es conocido por su eclecticismo y su capacidad para trabajar en diversos géneros musicales.
