Biografía de Andrew Lloyd Webber
Andrew Lloyd Webber nació el 22 de marzo de 1948 en Londres, Inglaterra. Su padre, William Lloyd Webber, era un organista y maestro de coro, mientras que su madre, Jean Meier, era pianista. Desde temprana edad mostró interés por la música, comenzando a tocar el piano a los cinco años.
A los siete años compuso su primera obra, una pequeña suite para orquesta titulada "Jeu de toilette". Más tarde estudió en la Universidad de Cambridge y en el Royal College of Music, donde se especializó en composición.
En 1968, Lloyd Webber colaboró con Tim Rice en la creación del musical "Jesucristo Superestrella de Judea", que fue un gran éxito tanto en Londres como en Broadway. Este trabajo le valió su primer Premio Tony y marcó el comienzo de una exitosa carrera en el mundo del teatro.
A lo largo de su carrera, Lloyd Webber ha desarrollado un estilo musical caracterizado por la combinación de música clásica y pop, así como por la utilización de orquestas grandes y coros.
